Pets are near and dear to the heart of any family – and when they aren’t well, it affects everyone. We worry when they aren’t feeling well and enjoy them when they are happy and healthy.
We use the entire sheep sorrel plant, including the roots, in our formula! Our essiac for pets formula sheep sorrel contains 20% root.
The amount of essiac given to pets is different than for humans, primarily due to the difference in body weight. Full instructions are supplied with your order 🙂
As a guide:
If your pet weighs up to 15 lbs.
START WITH 1/2 oz. of brewed tea per day. If tolerated well, WORK UP TO 1/2 oz. of tea twice per day.
If your pet weighs 15-35 lbs.
START WITH 1/2 ounce twice per day. If tolerated well, WORK UP TO 1 ounce twice per day.
If your pet weighs 35-55 lbs.
START WITH 1 ounce twice per day. If tolerated well, WORK UP TO 2 ounces twice per day.
If your pet weighs 55-85 lbs.
START WITH 2 ounces twice per day. WORK UP TO 3 ounces twice per day.
If your pet weighs 85 lbs. or more,
START WITH 3 ounces twice per day. WORK UP TO 3 ounces three times per day.
Along with a well-balanced diet, appropriate exercise, and lots of love, essiac for pets may be beneficial to the immune system. The immune system can be sensitive to viruses, bacteria and other pathogens that are encountered on a daily basis, which means your pets may be at risk for cancer, arthritis, and other health problems.
No one is sure what causes cancer in pets, but the causes are probably similar to those that cause humans to develop cancer. Environmental pollutants are a likely source of cancer in pets. Humans and pets alike are put at risk from pesticides, smoke and second-hand smoke, poor diet, and insufficient exercise. Pet food preservatives can pose an additional risk for pets.
If you talk to any pet owner, chances are they’ve worried about cancer. Studies indicate that 50% of pets over the age of 10 will develop some type of cancer during their lives. Cancer is the number one health problem that pet owners are concerned about, but luckily it is one of the most treatable and curable of all veterinary diseases.

Inoperable Tumor in Dog
Love essiac. I have been giving it to my great dane for cancer treatment. She is 11 and has a huge inoperable tumor on her abdomen. The vet said she had 3 to 6 months to live in December. It is July and she’s be-bopping around, doing great and still loves to eat. I give her 3 ounces throughout the day in conjunction with a high protein diet and turmeric. I mix a shot of the essiac with homemade organic chicken broth. As I heat up the broth for her, I down a chilled 1 ounce shot glass myself. I think it tastes great. Really gets my motor running and I rarely get sick now. I am 56 years-old with arthritis. I can wake up in the morning feeling awful, drink the essiac and 10 minutes later, voila! I feel great.
